Many people and lots of Christian's see God as an emotionless immovable object that we are called to run into and rub up against until we are broken and beaten into submission...
In Deuteronomy 4:28 God speaks against such false gods as He says… you will serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell. The Bible says that Jesus is God in the flesh and we see in Jesus that God is AWARE of our condition and He is consistently "moved" with compassion on our behalf… 1. I AM Aware of how it looks to you Matthew 11:1-3 1 Now it came to pass, when Jesus finished commanding His twelve disciples, that He departed from there to teach and to preach in their cities. 2 And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples 3 and said to Him, "Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” 4 Jesus answered and said to them, "Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: 5 The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. When we struggle we often lose faith in God and then as we fight for our faith and to believe we begin to say “well if You are God You must not be AWARE of my situation”… 2. I AM Aware and I know what I’m doing… Isaiah 40:13-14 & 28 13 Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, Or as His counselor has taught Him? 14 With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, And taught Him in the path of justice? Who taught Him knowledge, And showed Him the way of understanding? 28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. God will never make a mistake in His decisions concerning you!!! 3. I AM Aware and I know what's going on in your life… John 4:16-18 16 Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here." 17 The woman answered and said, "I have no husband." Jesus said to her, "You have well said, 'I have no husband,' 18 for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.” He weeps with us and mourns with us and He will heal us whether our pain has been inflicted upon us by others or if our wounds are self inflicted... 4. I AM Aware and I know what I’m up against and I know what you're up against… Mark 5:1-9 1 Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. 2 And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains, 4 because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. 5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones. 6 When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. 7 And he cried out with a loud voice and said, "What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me." 8 For He said to him, "Come out of the man, unclean spirit!" 9 Then He asked him, "What is your name?" And he answered, saying, "My name is Legion; for we are many." I AM Aware and I AM the One who can overcome anything you’re going through no matter how horrific it’s been… He says that it is through your own redemption and restoration that He is best able to be seen by YOU... Prepare a place this Christmas for the One who says "I AM Aware!"...
