Matthew 1:23
Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us. John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. "I AM Here"... John 18:37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice. and this is why "I AM Here”... To testify and confirm the truth and to speak it into the hearts of those who will hear My voice… Christmas is about heaven touching earth… God being with us… In John 8:12 Jesus says… “I am the light of the world. Receiving the birth of Christ shines a light into your life that allows you to see in a dimension that is otherwise invisible for us… Colossians 1:13-16 (God…) has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible I want to focus on the shepherds in the Christmas story for just a moment… The most important thing at Christmas is our response to the good news… Luke 2:15 says… 15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.”… Shepherds respond to the revelation from God and go straight to the manger… There are others of us who have a different journey to find the King… The wise men in the Christmas story had a different road to the king and it required in many ways more diligence from the revelation to the realizing of the expectation… Matthew 2:9-11 says… the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. 11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him… They arrived and heard Jesus say “I AM Here…” but it was long after the shepherds had come and gone… Jesus is in a house here with the wise men rather than the manger the shepherds found Him in… Wise men and women continue to seek Him and follow the light until they find themselves in the house of God…
