Actions Speak Louder Than Words:

John 18:37-38
37 Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice." 38 Pilate said to Him, "What is truth?" And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them
, "I find no fault in Him at all."

One of the most intriguing aspects of the crucifixion of Christ are the words and actions of Pontius Pilate.  Several times he questions Jesus and several times he tells the angry mob that he finds no fault in Jesus and defintely nothing deserving of death. Pilate tried to compare Jesus to a murderer so the people would relent but that backfired, he tried sending Jesus to another man to be judged but Jesus was sent right back to Pilate, and Pilate's final attempt to avoid the most important decision of his life is the most telling...

Matthew 27:24
24 When Pilate  saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it."

Actions speak louder than words!  It would be nice if we could just wash our hands and walk away but at the end of the day Pilate had Jesus scourged/beaten to within an inch of His life then consented to His crucifixion.  Many of us wash our hands and feel blameless when it comes to making the most important decision of our lives which is to accept, love, and live for Christ or to deny Him and consent to His crucifixion.

Matthew 12:30
30 He who is not with Me is against Me

        - Jesus -

Matthew 10:33
whoever denies Me before men , him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

        - Jesus -
