John 15:11-14
11 "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
- Jesus -
Jesus speaks to us about laying down our lives, our desires, and even what we are entitled to for our friends. He describes this simply as love and sets it as the pinnacle of the Christian faith. Our friends and our neighbors are not always people we know but often those who will come to know and grow in the Lord through our sacrifices and liberality in the area of giving. Giving includes our time, or gifts, our talents, and our resources including finances.
We believe that the time to give and sacrifice is now and short for when the Lord returns it will no longer be necessary. We thank you for giving to the work of the Lord here at The Way. We encourage you to know and be confident in what you are giving into and if you haven't begun to give yet, please find a worthy ministry and become a part of the work of the Lord.
